Volvo Landfill Compactor to be Unveiled at Waste Expo on April 24

Updated: Apr 6, 2020

Volvo Construction Equipment has a long history of giving waste and recycling operations the durable, productive equipment they need to get the job done, including wheel loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and attachments. At WasteExpo 2018, Volvo will unveil its latest entry to the market: the LC450H landfill compactor.

Volvo partnered with Terra Compactor Wheel to develop the LC450H, a 90,000-pound machine ideal for mid-size landfills and powered by a 416-horsepower Volvo D13J Tier 4 Final engine. Working in cooperation with the engine and the axle is an HTL310 transmission with lock-up converter, delivering high torque output.

“The LC450H is a purpose-built machine fitted with durable wear parts, heavy-duty guarding, and efficient powertrain to meet the demands of rugged landfill conditions,” said Volvo Product & Segment Strategy Manager Mark DeBrosse.

The LC450H is expected to be available late 2018. Learn more about Volvo’s new entry into the waste and recycling industry at its in-booth unveiling at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24.
