Highway Equipment & Supply Co. wrapped up its first-annual Giving Tree holiday program by delivering the gifts the week of December 6, 2018, to local Salvation Armies.
The Giving Tree program provides local needy families with holiday gifts in coordination with area Salvation Armies. Local businesses sponsor Giving Trees on which they place gift tags and encourage staff and visitors to pick a tag representing a child's wish list, shop for that child, and place the unwrapped gifts under the tree.

Thanks to the dedication and collaboration of Highway staff and customers, the company fulfilled each tag, for a total of 32 children across the four branch locations:
Harrisburg - 12 tags
Drums - 12 tags
Brownstown - 4 tags
Lock Haven - 4 tags
Inspired by the classic Shel Silverstein book, The Giving Tree, the Salvation Army Giving Tree program focuses on the spirit of giving and service to others during the holiday season.
“Service is an important part of Highway's core values," said Jennifer Nauss, HR, Marketing, & Communications Manager. "It is heartwarming to see the company come together under the Giving Tree to demonstrate service to others in our communities."
