On Saturday, April 27, Highway's Drums branch picked up trash along the five-mile stretch of Route 309 the company adopted as part of the Great American Cleanup: Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful program.
"We had a great turnout again for our annual litter cleanup along the busy stretch of Route 309 by the office all the way up to the Dorrance exit of I-81," said Vice President Ryan Flood. "The weather was a cool 40 degrees, but the rain held off Saturday morning. I'd like to give a big shout-out to everyone who volunteered and braved the elements to help out."
The Highway cleanup volunteers collected discarded tires, debris, and 50 bags of trash along the roadside and in the woods.
