On Thursday, January 16, 2020, Ryan Flood, co-owner and vice president, Highway Equipment & Supply Co., was named to the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) Small Dealers Committee during the AED Summit in Chicago, IL. During his tenure, Ryan will advocate on behalf of small equipment dealer members.
The AED trade association provides advocacy, industry training and research, networking events, and more for its heavy equipment dealer members in the United States and Canada.
“Joining the AED Small Dealers Committee is a valuable opportunity for me to champion within AED the unique issues and needs that smaller dealers face,” said Ryan.
Ryan grew up in the heavy construction equipment industry. His father, William Flood, was one of Highway’s owners from 1960 to 2018. Ryan rose through the ranks at Highway starting as a Bobcat sales representative in 2009, and was named a vice president and board of director member in 2013 with executive management responsibilities for the northern branches. In addition to his new AED role, Ryan serves on the Transportation Construction Industries PAC and North Branch Land Trust boards and on the Pennsylvania College of Technology Heavy Construction Equipment Technician Emphasis program Advisory Committee.
